The most evolved exercise system on Earth. Created by dancer and gymnast Juliu Horvath, the Gyrotonic method offers benefits similar to those of yoga, dance, gymnastics, swimming, and 
Tai Chi. Gyrotonic equipment training and Gyrokinesis movement (with no equipment) can serve as superb cross training for athletes, but these comprehensive systems also allow people with limited mobility and injuries to experience greater ease and mastery of their movement.

The essence of life. Free your breath and enliven your spirit! I offer private breathwork sessions to address a wide range of goals, both physical and metaphysical.

Classical Pilates, supplemented with contemporary innovations cross disciplinary awareness. I have specialized expertise in applications for the feet, neck, and shoulders, for students of all levels, from beginners to fellow teachers.

Teacher Training

Gyrotonic Pre-Training courses for students to deepen their personal practice. These courses teach clients to lead their own Gyrotonic workouts. Completion is a prerequisite for the Gyrotonic Foundation teacher training course.

Yoga Narada®.

A flowing, Taoist approach to yoga. Created by ballerina Hilary Cartwright, Yoga Narada develops aesthetically pleasing line and form through breath and anatomical correctness.

A Time to Recharge

Join a small group of individuals with the intention of stepping out of your busy everyday life and reconnecting with your center. This retreat is intended to provide rest and rejuvenation for those in caregiving roles (bodyworkers, parents, therapists, medical providers). Participants will be offered a variety of guided activities along with time on their own to relax and explore the beauty of the surrounding area. Each facilitated activity, rooted in the Internal Family Systems framework, will encourage connection to Self through a variety of practices including meditation, art, connection to nature, yoga, journaling and group and individual reflection.

Self-Healing Practices

Level 3 IFS practitioner Kara Edge leads meditations and prompts for self and group reflection. Internationally recognized multimedia artist Iris Tonies guides us in art exercises to increase our capacity for self expression.  Expert movement instructor Matt Lueders leads our mindful and restorative group fitness activities.

 

What is IFS?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy embraces the multiplicity of the mind. In IFS, it is believed that we naturally have a variety of parts or subpersonalities that may take on protective roles in order to avoid the pain carried by the more vulnerable parts of ourselves. At our core, is our Self, the essence of who we are. IFS therapy provides a way to help access the Self, befriend our parts, and help them heal from the impact of painful experiences.
